Thank Goodness It's Friday

It seems lately that the weekend keeps creeping up on me, not that I mind I love my weekends but it feels like I have all this work to get done and then whoops its 5pm on Friday and I barely have anything done, oh well it just means that I am super busy on Monday mornings which is good considering the busier I am the faster the day goes.

Alright well lets get into it shall we.....

1 // My blog //
So my mother peer pressured me into giving her my blog URL last weekend, I had been avoiding letting her read it as she went to university for a writing degree and well this blog has the writing and spelling skills of a 5 year old. I also treat this blog like a diary and would you let your mother read your diary? I didn't think so but at least I can harp on about Veganism on my blog and hope she reads it as no one listens when I try and talk about it.

Hi Mum!!

2 // My Adult Bed //
This week our new king bed arrived, I keep calling it my first real adult bed as it is exactly what I imagined as a child when I would dream about Saturday mornings sitting in bed with my future husband and children. Dylan got us a great deal on it too as it was the last of the fabric they had left as they where changing to something else and he managed to get the lamps and bedside tables at a reduced rate because they are the last of the floor stock. I am so glad Dylan is good at bargaining because I certainly am not, they see me coming from a mile away and instantly know I am a sucker.

3 // Netflix and Chill //
We decided to off foxtel and get netflix this week as foxtel was charging us a ridiculous amount (see told you I am a sucker) and all my sisters have netflix and keep raving about it, I am a bit devastated that there is no teen mom and Game Of Thrones but I am sure we will end up downloading it somehow or signing up to the HBO streaming service to watch GOT then unsubscribe after we have watched it.

4 // Spring Nights are here //
We may only be half way through the first month of Spring but the weather has already started to warm up a considerable amount, so much so that tonight we will be watch the AFL final Adelaide Crows Vs Hawthorn Tigers outside on the projector whilst we have a bonfire to try and get rid of some of the olive branches that have been cut off. I doubt we will make a dent tonight as there are so many to get rid off but the end of the fire season is almost here so we need to get burning.

5 // Family Reunion //
Sunday we have a family reunion, I am really not excited to go as I can't even remember who is who or what half the people attending names are and which families they belong too but there is no getting out of it! I was discussing helping one of my sisters break her leg just so we can get out of it but she wimped out on me (just kidding) so at this stage my plan is to have too much to drink then whinge about no vegan options and leave thus insuring I am never invited to another one again.

Well that is it for my Friday, Saturday is going to be a lazy day and Sunday is going to be a nightmare but oh well I am sure the rest of my family is as excited as I am about the family reunion.

Thank Goodness Its Friday

Whelp another long week is over, I am really glad that it is finally Friday it seems like it has been a week of sadness for a lot of people. I am looking forward to getting some serious reading done this weekend.
1 // Charlie //
My littlest sister Charlie came and stayed with me for a few days this week, she is only 20 and was recently diagnosed with the same kidney disease that I have so she comes and works as my assistant 2 days a week now which is nice, I don't get to see her very often so it's nice she's coming down to work with me. We are both so similar and I hope that I can help her deal with her kidney disease as I've already been through the it so I can give her advice and guide her through it all.

2 // Looking for Beds //
Dylan and I have been looking for a new bed recently, we have had our current bed for around 4 years now and while its still a nice bed its only a queen and we seem to have fights in our sleep with anther over space. We have started taking pictures of each other whilst we sleep to prove who is the bigger bed hog, its all in fun but it is time we started looking for a king bed. I have had a dream of a certain scenario in my head forever of me, my husband and my future children all curled up watching movies together in a bed but I just can't seem to find the bed I imagine. Its really frustrating and nothing I see is good enough either, I hope I find it soon.

3 // Yoga //
I spoke last Friday about how well my yoga practice had been going and of course I had to go ahead and jinx myself. I have been so busy and flustered this week that I haven't gone once! Oh well here's to hoping next week is better.

4 // August Step to the Beat Challenge //
How is everyone's August step the beat challenge going, I am currently sitting at 105,853 steps but I still have 5,876 steps until I reach 10,000 for the day so wish me luck. I will be at home watching movies whilst on the treadmill to get the rest of today's done.

5 // Vegan fact of the week //
It takes 16 pounds of grain to feed cattle enough to produce 1 pound of beef. The grain that goes to feed livestock could end world hunger.

Thank goodness its Friday

This week has been a long one for me! I have been counting down the hours until 5pm on Friday afternoon and now its finally here and I am more than just a little relieved.

1 // Yoga //
I have been all about my yoga practice lately! I go through fazes of being super into yoga in the evenings and then being super lazy on the couch instead through out the year but I really want to maintain my practice. This winter has made it slightly more challenging because the last thing I can be bothered doing after working all day is driving in the rain to yoga and back but Dylan has been making me go the nights he is home at 5pm and the other nights he is out at sport I feel more obliged to go so I hope I can keep it up. Plus look at the picture of the studio I attend below isn't it beautiful, its a old renovated church, its so relaxing in there.

2 // Trainwreck //
Trainwreck officially came out in cinemas here on Thursday and whilst I would have loved to have been able to view it on opening night work the next day would be practically impossible so I have post poned it for Saturday sometime. I'm not sure about you but Amy Schumer just might be my spirit animal, I feel we would be best friends IRL plus I recently found out that she went on holiday's with my other spirit animal Jennifer Lawrence who would also be a bestie IRL so that just makes me love them even more. (I really need to stop pretending this friendship will happen).

3 // Prank Phone Calls //
As I run a shopping centre I am always on call incase something goes wrong. Last night I had a bunch of kids prank calling the work number which kept me up all night. It was incredibly lame, I can't believe that kids today think its cool to prank call someone, whats more these stupid kids didn't put their phones on private so I call have called them back and yelled at them, not that I would do that because I couldn't be bothered and wanted to go back to bed am a fully grown adult that would never act so childish!!

4 // August Step to the Beat Challenge //
How is everyone's August step the beat challenge going, it maybe Friday at 5pm and I may still need to get 6,737 steps today to finish at 10,000 to have officially completed the first 50,000 steps for the month but don't you worry I will be pacing all over my lounge room this evening to get those bad boys in.

5 // Vegan fact of the week //
Newborn piglets learn to run to their mothers' voices and recognize their own names. I am trying to convince Dylan that we should adopt a pig from a no kill sanctuary but he's still not sold on the idea.

Thank goodness its Friday

It seems like this Friday has taken forever to arrive, it has been a pretty busy week here at The Hunt Life and I am pretty happy to see the weekend finally arrive.

1// The Bachelor //
So the Bachelor is back on TV, thank you television gods!!!! I love good old trashy TV and I think this years batch of girls might be the trashiest yet. One of my best childhood friends was back in Adelaide on Wednesday so I drove up to the city to watch it at her house with our other friends, that is a pretty big deal considering I never really leave the house for anything other than work. #hermitlifeforever! I'm not sold on this years bachelor yet, he has been given the offical title of #bachiewood ;) but at this point in time its only a reference to his last name not anything else unfortunatly. Looking forward to Wednesday and Thursday nights with a new enthusiasm.

2 // Migraines //
Can I just take a second to unload on migraines please, I hate them! I know strong word but honestly is there anything worse I think not. I was so proud of myself I had made it to 11 weeks with no sick days!! that is a big thing for me considering how debilitating my migraines can be. I had been looking after myself so well in hopes of getting to 12 weeks no sick days and then of course a horrific migraine has to pop out of nowhere and ruin that for me!! Oh well back to week one for me next week.

3 // End of the month //
Is there anything better than the end of the month? I feel that everything is refreshed and renewed, I have a whole month to do everything I want and there is so much at my feet. The end of the month just makes me excited for what is to come, I am really looking forward to August.

4 // August Step to the Beat Challenge //
Another reminder that my August challenge officially starts on Monday next week, make sure you join up.

5 // Vegan fact of the week //
Of course I am going to end this Friday as I always do with a Vegan fact, this week I learnt that if one person goes Vegan they save 1.3 million gallons of water per year CRAZY!!

Thank Goodness It's Friday

Is the anything more beautiful then a Friday afternoon are a long and stressful week at work?...........No! well maybe there might be but hey I will settle for a Friday afternoon any day of the week!!!

I think my favourite thing about Fridays is the Oh hey it's Friday link up because not only is it my favourite day of the week but I also get to recap my favourite things from this week woooooo!!

1// Winter//
So it seems that winter has well and truly arrived in Adelaide, it has been hitting and average of 5 degrees celciuis each night this week. I love it but it seems like the whole of Australia is having issues with the cold, it was just the other day that Australian's where making fun of the British for whinging about a high 20 degree heat wave (a heat wave in Adelaide is 40 degrees plus) and then the cold hits and we can't stop whinging about a cold snap they think is nothing, ohhhh the irony!!

2// Christmas in July//
It is crazy to think but I am already planning what I have to organise for Christmas at work this year. It is incredible how fast this year has flown past and worrying how I actually have to start planning and budgeting for Christmas decorations and it hasn't even reached August yet.

3// Garden Veggie Dreams //
I have dreams of this amazing Vegetable garden and am hoping that I get time in the coming weekends to get stuck into making one, I need to stop browsing all the beautiful garden's on pinterest because I know that we cannot afford anything too lavish but a girl can dream can't she. As I am eat vegan mostly plant based foods I am hoping that his will keep the shopping costs down too.
// One // Two // Three // Four // Five //

4// August Step to the Beat Challenge //
With August just around the corner I thought it would be fun to create a step challenge for the month of August, I have found them floating all over the blogosphere (I would have joined A Farmers Wife's most recent challenge but I saw to too late), the principles are pretty simple.....

<div class="The Hunt Life" style="width: 333px; margin: 0 auto;"> <a href="http://the-hunt-life.blogspot.com " rel="nofollow"> <img src="http://i1169.photobucket.com/albums/r503/gigigogo89/Step-to-the-beat.png " alt="The Hunt Life" width="333" height="500" /> </a> </div>

4 // Vegan fact of the week //
Of course I am going to end this Friday as I always do with a Vegan fact, this week I learnt that McDonald's fries aren't vegan or even vegetarian, they contain beef flavoring and also milk solids. Not that I like to eat McDonald's anyone but I guess I will be skipping their fries next road trip!
